How to find a Supercharger in Ontario

Tesla keeps its own list of open Superchargers in two places: the Tesla app and the interactive map on its Find Us page. In a Tesla, the car's navigation shows Superchargers along your route too. That is the list to trust, because sites open, expand and occasionally close, and any list copied onto a web page (including this one) goes out of date.

We deliberately don't print a list of GTA sites here. We couldn't read Tesla's map in a way we could check and cite while writing this guide, and a stale list sends people to the wrong plaza. Open the app or the map, search the city or highway you care about, and tap a site to see its details.

Driving something other than a Tesla? Your automaker may have its own way in. Nissan Canada says ARIYA owners can filter the map in the MyNISSAN app by provider to show compatible Tesla Superchargers.

New and upcoming Ontario sites

When Tesla announces a new Ontario Supercharger and we can confirm it from Tesla's own channels, it goes into our news section with the source linked. We'll add new openings here as we cover them.

What Supercharging costs compared with home

We don't print a single Supercharger price on this page, because the price depends on the site and the time of day, and the app shows it before you plug in. For worked examples of what a session costs per kilometre, see Supercharger cost per km. For what the same kilometres cost on your Ontario home electricity plan, use the Ontario charging calculator.

Winter Supercharging in Ontario

Charging speed in a Canadian winter depends a lot on battery temperature. Our preconditioning guide explains how to warm the battery before a stop, and LFP batteries in cold weather covers what the cold does to the battery in the Model Y Standard. For the bigger picture, see Model Y winter range.

Questions

How do I find Tesla Superchargers in Ontario?

Use the Tesla app or the interactive map on Tesla's Find Us page. Volkswagen Canada and Nissan Canada both point their drivers to those tools, or to the MyNISSAN app for ARIYA owners, to check which sites work with their cars.

Can non-Tesla EVs use Superchargers in Ontario?

At some sites only. Volkswagen Canada says not all Tesla Superchargers are open to non-Tesla EVs, and its ID.4 and ID. Buzz can charge at sites Tesla designates as NACS Partners, using Volkswagen's own adapter.

How much does a Tesla Supercharger cost in Ontario?

Charging networks set their own rates, and rates can vary by area and time of day. Check the price in the network's app or on the charger screen before you plug in. Our Supercharger cost per km guide works through examples.

Is there a new Supercharger in Kingston?

Yes. We covered the opening of the Kingston Highway 15 Supercharger in our news section, with links to the original announcement.
