There's a new Tesla Supercharger east of Peterborough. At 8:36 PM ET on October 28, 2026, Tesla's official charging account on X posted "New Tesla Supercharger: Norwood, ON (8 stalls)" and linked the site on Tesla's Find Us map (Tesla Charging on X). That's everything Tesla has said publicly so far, so here's what's confirmed and what to check in the app first.
Where is Norwood?
Norwood is a village in Asphodel-Norwood township in Peterborough County, on Highway 7 east of Peterborough. Tesla's October 28 post names the site only as "Norwood, ON" and links to it on Tesla's Find Us map. For directions, use the Tesla app or your car's navigation rather than a street address from a third-party list.
Tesla Charging: "New Tesla Supercharger: Norwood, ON (8 stalls)".
How many stalls does it have?
Eight, according to Tesla. The post doesn't say anything else about the hardware.
Can non-Tesla EVs charge there, and what does it cost?
Tesla hasn't said in its announcement. The Tesla app shows each site's current rates and who can use it, so check there before you go. I'll update this story if Tesla publishes more details.
What does it mean for Ontario drivers?
It comes a week after Tesla announced the 12-stall Kingston Highway 15 site on October 21. If you drive Highway 7 east of Peterborough, it's a new option for your trip plan. For planning, see our guides to Tesla Superchargers in Ontario, Supercharger cost per km and winter driving, since cold weather slows charging and cuts range.
Two days later, Tesla announced another new site out west, the 8-stall Keremeos, B.C. Supercharger.
