Maintenance
Tesla Model Y Standard maintenance: almost nothing, but not nothing.
Tesla's recommended maintenance intervals for the Model Y Standard RWD, plus a reminder tool saved in this browser.
Tesla's recommended schedule
| Tire rotation | Every 10,000 km, or when tread depth differs by 1.5 mm or more |
|---|---|
| Cabin air filter | Every 2 years (3 years for HEPA and carbon filters, if equipped) |
| Brake fluid | Health check every 4 years; replace if needed. Don't top up yourself |
| Wiper blades | Every year |
| Brake calipers | Clean and lubricate yearly or every 20,000 km where roads are salted. Tesla says this isn't required for Model Y built after February 2025 |
| Battery coolant | Doesn't need replacing for the life of the vehicle under most circumstances |
Tesla notes the car should be serviced as needed, and these intervals depend on driving and conditions.
