Toronto to Niagara Falls in a Tesla.
Toronto to Niagara Falls is about 130 km one way. Here's how I'd do it in a Model Y Standard (463 km rated range), with real Supercharger locations along the way.
Charging stops
- Grimsby (QEW)
- Niagara Falls, 3770 Montrose Rd, 12 stalls up to 250 kW
Always let the car's navigation pick and precondition for stops; it shows live stall availability and price.
Approximate cost
130 km × 15.4 kWh/100 km ≈ 20 kWh. If all of it came from Superchargers at $0.30–$0.55/kWh, that's about $6–$11 one way. Leave home at 100% and you'll Supercharge less. Winter and highway speed raise consumption, so treat this as a summer estimate. Details: Supercharger cost per km.
Notes
A round trip is well within the Model Y Standard's range in good weather, so you may not need to stop at all. Several Niagara hotels have Tesla destination chargers.
I film all of this on my own 2026 Model Y Standard. Watch on The Electric Standard on YouTube.
