A town on Quebec's Gaspé Peninsula is on Tesla's newest list of fan-picked Supercharger sites. At 6:35 PM ET on October 28, 2026, Tesla's official charging account on X said "New winners announced" and that "a new Supercharger voting round is now open" (Tesla Charging on X). In the winners list posted right after, Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Quebec is the only Canadian location (winners list).
What did Tesla announce?
Tesla runs a public vote where drivers suggest places they want a Supercharger. On October 28, 2026, the official Tesla Charging account said new winners had been added to its Find Us map and that a new voting round had opened (Tesla Charging on X). A follow-up post listed 36 winning locations around the world (winners list). Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Quebec is the only Canadian entry.
Tesla Charging's winners list: "🇨🇦 Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Quebec".
When will the Sainte-Anne-des-Monts Supercharger open?
Tesla hasn't said. Its posts don't include a timeline, the number of stalls or where in town the site will go. For a sense of how earlier rounds have played out, Tesla Charging has been labelling some new openings as "Voting Winner Site", including Key West, Florida (12 stalls) on October 15 and Walla Walla, Washington (8 stalls) on October 27. Neither post says when those sites won their votes. I'll update this story when Tesla posts more about the Quebec site.
Why does it matter for Canadian drivers?
Sainte-Anne-des-Monts is a town on the St. Lawrence side of the Gaspé Peninsula in eastern Quebec. It's the only Canadian location in this round, so it's worth watching if you're planning an EV road trip to the Gaspé. Until it opens, plan your stops with the Tesla app and check our guides to charging a Tesla in Canada, Tesla Superchargers in Ontario and Supercharger cost per km.
How do I vote for a location?
Tesla says the new voting round is open now on its Supercharger voting page. Tesla's posts don't say how long the round runs or how winners are chosen beyond the vote.
