Ottawa proposes five-year funding for charger deployment, charging research and federal fleet readiness, beginning in 2027–28.
The CEO's X post does not say whether Cybertruck assembly moves elsewhere or stops. Tesla's official account had not echoed it at draft time.

Elon Musk said early Friday that Tesla will wind down Cybertruck production at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of next year so the plant can build more Cybercabs. In a post on X at 1:30 AM ET on November 6, 2026, the Tesla CEO wrote that the company "will be winding down production of the Cybertruck at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of next year to make room for increased Cybercab production" (Elon Musk on X). He did not say whether assembly moves to another factory or ends, and Tesla's official accounts had not repeated the note when this draft was written.
At 1:30 AM Eastern on November 6, 2026, Elon Musk posted that Tesla "will be winding down production of the Cybertruck at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of next year to make room for increased Cybercab production" (Elon Musk on X). That timing is around mid-2027. The note is a production-floor plan for the Texas plant, not a new vehicle launch and not a software update.
Musk did not add a second post with volumes, a hard last-build date, or whether any Cybertruck work moves to another site. "Winding down" at Gigafactory Texas is what he confirmed. Whether that means a full stop or a residual line elsewhere was left open.
Musk: Tesla will wind down Cybertruck production at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of next year for more Cybercab output.
Wes Morrill, who leads Cybertruck engineering, quoted Musk and wrote that Cybertruck "was an incredible technology development platform and lives on through Cybercab," thanking the people who built it and the owner community (Morrill on X). Asked whether trucks already on the road would keep long-lasting support, he replied: "Yes, of course! Tesla will maintain spare parts and service will continue support" (Morrill reply).
Not in the first hours after Musk's post. A search of posts from Tesla's main account after 1:00 AM ET on November 6 found no matching Cybertruck or Cybercab production note. Reuters and other outlets also reported that Tesla had not immediately commented beyond the CEO's X post. Until Tesla publishes a product page, IR note or official account post, Musk's wording and Morrill's parts-and-service reply are the primary statements on record.
Nothing in Musk's post is Canada-specific. Gigafactory Texas is the Cybertruck plant. Canadian owners who already have a Cybertruck get the parts-and-service assurance Morrill gave. Cybercab and Robotaxi service are not running in Canada, so the production shift does not change what Canadian drivers can book today. We are not restating live Cybertruck configurator pricing here because Tesla Canada's pages returned Access Denied from our research egress this hour.

The system gets its European name on the screen, and the speed margin drops from +50% to +10%. It arrives over the air on HW4 cars.

The figure comes from Tesla's own running counter, which ticks up at the fleet's average rate. Canada is one of 17 markets where Tesla says FSD (Supervised) is live.
