Tesla features Canada still doesn't get

By · Last updated: (Toronto)

Tesla often launches features in the U.S. first. This page tracks the ones Canadian owners can't use yet, with Tesla's own posts as the source wherever possible. I recheck every row each week and change the date above only when something changes.

The short answer (as of October 31, 2026)

"Available" and "Not in Canada" are based on what Tesla has published. "Reported" means a news site or owners say it and Tesla hasn't. "Unconfirmed" means I couldn't check it.

Tesla Powershare in Canada

On October 27, 2026, Tesla North America posted that "every new Tesla can now power your tools or gadgets via Powershare", then added in a reply that it's "available in US & Mexico with Mobile Connector and Outlet Adapter" (post, availability). Canada isn't on that list, and Tesla hasn't said whether or when it will be. I couldn't load Tesla Canada's Powershare page to check which Canadian models already support it, so I'm not listing any here. Full details in our Powershare story.

FSD referral program: U.S. only

Tesla North America announced on October 29, 2026 that owners can gift a month of FSD (Supervised), and get a free month or $99 in Tesla Credits if the friend subscribes. The post ends with "Available in the US" (Tesla North America on X). Canadians can still subscribe to FSD (Supervised); see our FSD in Canada guide and the referral story.

Model 3 Premium orders in Canada

Since October 12, 2026, Tesla hasn't taken Canadian orders for the China-built Model 3 Premium RWD and AWD, according to The Canadian Press. The pause is linked to Canada's quota on China-built EVs. Tesla hasn't posted a restart date on its Canadian site, so I'm marking any restart date as unconfirmed. The quota year resets on March 1, 2027. More in our Model 3 story, and if you're choosing between models, see Model Y Standard vs Model 3 and the Model Y Standard specs.

How I check this page

Every week I recheck each row against its source: Tesla's posts on X, Tesla's Canadian and U.S. websites when they load, and Government of Canada pages. A row moves to "Available" in Canada only when Tesla says so. Rows based only on media or owner reports stay marked as such. If something changes, I update the row, the "Last updated" date and the change log.
