Model Y Standard mud flaps: worth it?
Three weeks in, rear mud flaps are the one exterior add-on I'd tell every Model Y Standard owner to get. Here's why, and what to know before you buy a set.
My verdict
I added rear mud flaps to my 2026 Model Y Standard, and I highly recommend them. I think the car's stance looks better with them and they complete the whole look.
They don't kick rocks up at the people behind you, and they keep everything contained within the wheel well.
The 4-pack catch
They come as a 4-pack, and my car already came with two installed at the front. You can't really buy just the rears, so you end up with two spares in case the front ones ever give out.
Still looks stock
I like my car looking stock, so people just see a normal Tesla. On a Model Y Standard, I don't think you should sink much money into exterior mods. Mud flaps are one of the few I think are worth it. Outside, I also added tinted licence plate covers and my own vinyl strip across the front bar, which I think looks better on a white car.

I think so. I highly recommend the rear mud flaps on my 2026 Model Y Standard. They keep rocks from kicking up at the cars behind you and I think they make the car look better.
Does the Model Y Standard come with mud flaps?
Mine came with two installed at the front, so I only needed the rears.
